<p>There are actually several reasons why one should weigh often.<br />
1. Aside from the awareness it creates, this motivates the users. During  a weight loss program, frequent weighing records the rate of weight  loss. This encourages small rewards for every pound of loss. Motivation  is a great factor that helps in sticking to weight loss programs,  whether exercise and diet.<br />
2. When you also use your weighing scale, it actually produces a more  realistic weight loss goal. At the same time, this makes up for sensible  expectations. Thus, reducing the risks of giving up on your weight loss  program. This then makes a waste of time, a waste of money and worst  bring disappointment.<br />
3. Weighing often promotes better monitoring of food eaten and the  exercises done. Say, you feel so satisfied albeit eating a small portion  of a certain food, and you weigh less. This can help by eating the same  food, feeling satisfied and still weigh less. This would also help in  monitoring the exercise that you do in a week. Say, you enrolled in a  different exercise routine for this week, if these have better results,  you would be able to record it and practice the same in the future.<br />
4. Looking at your weighing scales also serves as a reminder of your  weight goals. This is very encouraging, just like that jeans you keep  when you lose weight.<br />
